Pearse Kieran
BSc(Hons) in Pharmacology,
HDip in Psychotherapy Studies,
MA in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Pearse Kieran is a clinical psychotherapist. He has a BSc(Hons) in Pharmacology, a HDip in Psychotherapy Studies and a MA in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He trained at UCD’s School of Psychotherapy, UCD’s Department of Medicine and Medical Science, St. Vincent’s University Hospital (SVUH), and in the Department of Psychiatry of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital (MMUH). He is a fully accredited member of the Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland (APPI) and is also a member of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP). APPI & ICP represent professional psychotherapists supporting the Irish Government’s introduction of State registration for psychotherapists.

Pearse lectures in Counselling & Psychotherapy at IICP, to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He also provide additional pastoral supports to degree level students in their academic & clinical readiness preparations. Pearse is also a member of the IICP Research Group. Pearse also lectures in Sports Psychology, and Personal & Professional Development in the CDETB. He provides counselling support to the students in CDETB also. Pearse is a clinical psychotherapist in private practice and maintains a practice in Healing House, Dublin 7, and Dublin Bay Psychotherapy, Malahide, by appointment only.

Pearse has also worked with the Dublin Bereavement Support Service (bereavementsupport.ie) where he provided psychotherapy sessions for clients experiencing difficulties with loss & bereavement.
