Dr. Marcella Finnerty
D.Psych (Prof), M.Sc., M.A., Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision (Psychology), B.A. (Hons). Marcella is an accredited counsellor and supervisor and holds the European Certificate of Psychotherapy. She is an Advanced Instructor with the William Glasser Institute. She was Joint Deputy Director of the M.Ed. and M.Sc Degree programmes in Educational Guidance and Counselling in Trinity College Dublin. She is a member of IACP, IAHIP, WGII, IGC, ICP, EART and IITD.
Roles and Responsibilities. Marcella is College President and Director of Programmes.
She is also a module lecturer and a senior faculty member. Special areas of interest are programme research and academic development, pluralism, integration, choice theory/reality therapy/lead management, multicultural counselling and therapy, skills training and personal development.
She is a founding member of both IICP Education and Training Limited and The Village Counselling Service and currently serves as a Director on both Boards of Management. Marcella chairs the Academic Committee within the Institute.
Marcella currently sits on the Higher Education and Colleges Association (HECA) Board of Managment and is an active member of their Teaching and Learning Committee.
She is Chair of the Local Hosting Committee fof the International Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration (SEPI) Conference which is being held in Trinity College Dublin June 16-18th, 2016.
