Dr Aine O’Reilly

Dr Aine O’Reilly is Senior Manager in Quality Assurance and Enhancement at IICP College.
Aine holds a Doctorate in Education from Maynooth University, a Masters in Psychology from Bolton University and a BSc in Psychology from University College Dublin. Aine also holds professional qualifications: as a solicitor, received from the Law Society of Ireland and as a Family Therapist, received from the Clanwilliam Institute, Dublin. She is a registered Family Therapist with the Family Therapy Association of Ireland and Psychotherapist with the European Association of Psychotherapy.

Aine has a particular interest in regulatory discourses in education and the professions. Her higher research degrees (Masters in Psychology and Doctorate in Education) focused on practice frameworks that promote ethical, high quality professional service delivery. Throughout her career her principle engagements have been in policy, regulatory, quality and evaluation fields within the professional and education sectors. Aine has worked simultaneously in practice and policy fields, which has given her considerable insight into how policies operate in the practice arena.

Aine is also an experienced tutor and lecturer in diverse areas including professional ethics, psychotherapeutic theory and practice, family therapy, academic writing and research.
