Introduction

It can be said that we are living through an age of trauma and there is nothing that trauma does not touch.  This introductory training will cover ‘What is trauma?’ and  ‘What are its effects and prevalence?’

Course Content

The workshop will explore the impact of trauma on the body, neurobiology, and whole person. Participants will delve into how to apply a trauma informed approach to intake and process work. The impact of how social and cultural factors of trauma applies to practice will be looked at in this engaging online workshop.

  • This workshop is for mental health practitioners who are working with/interested in learning more about trauma-informed therapy.

Gayle Doyle
Gayle Doyle MIBECPT, MIAPTP,
Gayle Doyle holds a Master’s Degree in Practice Based Play therapy, a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Play Therapy.

Gayle is a play psychotherapist and the company director of Butterfly Children Ltd. She is accredited with the International Board of Examiners of Certified Play Therapists and the Irish Association of Play Therapy and Psychotherapy. She has worked for the HSE, Barnardos and in private practice as a child and adult psychotherapist.
