Introduction

Working with clients experiencing Anxiety can often be a daunting prospect. Anxiety, by its very nature, identifies possible negative outcomes. Individuals who have developed an unhealthy relationship with anxiety tend to blame (generally externally), catastrophise situations and can ultimately find their comfort zone reduced to the point of merely existing.

This workshop is the culmination of many years of research, and it is suitable for psychotherapists and Guidance counsellors who work with adolescents or adults alike. It offers participants a systematic, solution focussed process to lead their clients from a place of distrust in others and self, to a space of self-empowerment and growth. Ultimately you will be able to offer your clients the understanding and courage to step into vulnerability choose to start to live fully again.

Course Content:

The structure of The Overcoming Anxiety Process spans four pillars, each with 4 lessons.

During this workshop we will cover all aspects of the Process, referencing the theoretic foundations of each element, identifying the terminology, intention, and reasoning for each.

Having completed each pillar, the participants will practice the techniques learned in each of the four lessons, consider the application of their learning and have a clear understanding of the content and structure of the Process.
